Death

Card XIII of the Major Arcana

  • Endings
  • Transformation

As a yes or no answer:No

Upright

One chapter closes so another can open. Let go of what has run its course.

Death rides a white horse, and kings and children alike bow before it. Do not fear this card: it rarely means a physical death. It marks an ending that clears the way for something new. A chapter is closing, a habit or situation has run its course. Let it go cleanly and the transformation that follows will be for the better.

Reversed

Holding on to what has ended. The change will come; resisting only delays it.

Reversed, Death shows resistance to a change that is already happening. You may be clinging to a job, relationship or old version of yourself out of fear. The ending will come regardless; accepting it is what lets the new begin.

In love
